EDIT is a leading Summer IT school in the South East Europe, created for students who want to strengthen their academic knowledge with practical experience.

The students who join EDIT get an opportunity to boost their IT skills by working on challenging real-world projects. They also get a chance to make meaningful connections and put their teamwork and leadership abilities to the test.

EDIT is not an ordinary Summer School. Here, the participants get to work on the latest technologies, but also learn about:

• the newest IT trends
• challenges facing IT professionals
• teamwork and collaboration.

TOPIC DESCRIPTION

#EDITworld20 Belgrade, 10-17 August 2020: Deep Neural Network in Fraud Detection

Did you know that you could use ML algorithms to determine fake signatures? You probably did. But, do you know how to build that ML model all by yourself? Buckle up – we’ve got some good news for you! At this year’s EDIT summer school, you’ll learn how to build a custom deep learning model for fraud detection.

After the workshop, you’ll be a master of determining forged signatures! How? Well, the goal of this theme is to provide insight into the reliability of available scanned signatures. Meaning, you’ll know everything about the whole process: from collecting documents, designing the process flow and processing documents through an algorithm, to displaying model results.

Based on the available documents, an ML model will be developed in a way that, as a result, it can deliver the likelihood of each signature being forged. After the development of the model and the application, special attention will be given to process automation and monitoring of model results.

During the workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to attend various lectures that can help you with the successful realization of your project, as well as support your further development in the field of data science and machine learning.

To sum it up, you’ll have: a simulated online work environment + interesting project to tackle + awesome team along the way. What are you waiting for?

Thinking of starting your own startup, but not sure how to? Wondering if you can turn a business idea into a cloud-based app? Look no further!

At this year’s EDIT summer school, we’ll show you how to make a PoC (Proof of Concept) for a startup. And it doesn’t even matter whether you already have a serverless architecture experience on any of the cloud platforms or not! We’ve got you.

Using a cloud platform and technologies like Angular and Node.js, you’ll learn how to build a functional solution to run on Google Firebase. Now that’s what we call a hands-on experience that will kick-start your IT career.

But, that’s not all! You’ll have an amazing company along the way: a team, engaged in a workshop, always ready to help. With the power of good teamwork in a simulated online work environment, enhanced by an interesting project to tackle, we promise that EDIT20 will be one to remember!
